Airbus SE has secured a strategic contract through its subsidiary Survey Copter to enhance the CAPA-X drone platform for the European Defence Agency. The 48-month M2UAS project, valued at approximately €1.1 million, will focus on expanding military applications of the existing 120kg unmanned system.

The CAPA-X platform currently boasts a 100km operational range and 10-hour endurance, with payload capacity of 20kg. Its modular architecture allows adaptation across both defense and civilian use cases, positioning Airbus at the forefront of dual-use drone technology development in Europe.
